When the Fog Won’t Go Away: Battling Postpartum Depression (How to Fight)

Oh Lord I see it. I feel it. I’m sinking deep into Your arms. Your word says, “You make known to me the path of life; in your presence there is fullness of joy; at your right hand are pleasures forevermore.” Psalm 16:11

I rest knowing You bring me true joy like no one or thing could ever bring me in this life.

Feels like just yesterday I walked around with the “fog of depression” surrounding me day after day. On my face I cried. “Lord, rescue me!”

Today as a drive through the fog I thank you for always staying close beside me. I thank You Lord that you love me and guide my every step.

“He restores my soul. He leads me in paths of righteousness for his name’s sake.” Psalm 23:3

Oh God in Heaven, thank you for lifting me up out of the darkness and into the light! You showed me through the power of your Holy Spirit that my body needing caring for. You truly guide and direct our every step.

“Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path.” Psalm 119:105

“Dear Mama, when the fog rolls in and you are wishing for brighter days. When all you can see are the steps right in front of you. Lay your face down in surrender. Recognize this… “He is God and I am not.” Stand up, lift your chin, take the next step He tells you to take and keep FIGHTING the enemy.”

Prayer. The Word. Praise. Confession. Fasting.

THIS is how we fight.

Then you will know which way to step. How to care for your body, mind and soul as He guides.

Cry out to our Father. He hears us. He is with us in the highs and the lows.

Deep into the darkness He follows us and leads us back into the light.

Are you lost? And you sinking deep into anxiety and depression today?

Cry out to the Father!

Oh cry out to the Father!

He hears us. He loves us!

And He rescues us!

“He drew me up from the pit of destruction, out of the miry bog, and set my feet upon a rock, making my steps secure.” Psalm 40:2

Thank you for taking the time to stop by and read this word today. I pray you too know our risen Savior. He rescues us!

Love, Molly 💕
